This book of poems is a true historical document. But its significance is more than a documentary testimony about the war. It is an essential poetic chronicle of the historical tragedy caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and how Ukrainians are experiencing this ongoing tragedy. Poetic notes on the new everyday life of a beautiful city maimed by war are intertwined here with observations on the new psychological norm of its inhabitants.

Polyphony is the main quality of the language created by Galina in "Nineveh". Not only voices and intonations, not only languages and cultural dialects, but also semantic perspectives. Therefore, overlapping with poetochronicity, Galina unfolds a fantasy, somewhat reminiscent of Game of Thrones, but ultimately turning out to be a transformation of the same, military and siege existences.
