<b>Christopher Chase-Dunn</b> is professor of sociology and director of the Institute for Research on World-Systems at the University of California, Rverside.
<b>Susanne Jonas</b> has been a expert on Guatemala for 34 years and is the author, most recently, of
<i>Centaurs and Doves: Guatemala's Peace Process</i> she is professor of Latin American &amp; Latino studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
