<p>This book identifies the broad scope of dermatological conditions in patients with hair and scalp disorders, with particular focus on the hair. These disorders can be associated with various conditions, such as inflammatory, neoplastic and systemic diseases. Often patient history and physical examination significantly narrow the differential diagnosis, but in doubtful cases, trichoscopy or scalp biopsy is needed to establish correct diagnosis. <div><p><b>Anna Waśkiel-Burnat</b> graduated from Medical University of Warsaw in 2014. Currently she is specializing in dermatology and venerology at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Warsaw. Her main interests include hair and scalp diseases especially trichoscopy. Her PhD thesis considered the role of trichoscopy in diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring in patients with alopecia areata. Anna Waśkiel-Burnat is authored or co-authored of numerous articles and chapters about hair disorders. She&nbsp; was a speaker at national and international dermatology meetings.&nbsp;Anna Waśkiel-Burnat has served as faculty at courses considering trichoscopy.</p>

<p><b>Roxanna Sadoughifar</b> graduated from medical University in Iran in 2000.She started her career as the Deputy of clinical education and lecturer in Qom university .Currently she is working as a hair surgeon in Tehran. Her main interest is in hair and sculp and trichoscopy. She is now Associate Editor of The journal of Dermatologic Theraphy by Wiley. She is peer reviewer at&nbsp; many dermatologic journals. She was Speaker at many national and international dermatology meetings. Roxanna Sadoughifar has authored and co-authored many articles in Dermatology.</p>

<p><b>Torello Lotti</b> is Full Professor of the Dermatology and Venereology at University of Studies Guglielmo Marconi, Rome, Italy. He is President of the World Health Academy, Dermatology since 2013. Director , Centro Studi per la Ricerca Multidisciplinare Rigenerativa (CSRMR), of the University of Rome “G.Marconi”, Rome, Italy, since 2015. He is Honorary Professor of Dermatology - China Medical University Shenyang (2011), Lecturer at the NewYork Academy of Sciences "Howard Fox Memorial Lecture"(2012-NewYork, NY – USA). He is Visiting Professor in six International Universities worldwide, and Key Note Lecturer in several international dermatology Societies. Editor in Chief of the Dermatologic Therapy. He has been President of numerous international congresses. He is Ordinary Member of the main Scientific Societies worldwide (EADV, SIDEV, ESDR , ISD, AAD, SID) and Honorary Member of several Scientific Societies of the Dermatology field. Moreover, he is a Scientific reviewer of ten sectorial journals, among which are the British Journal of Dermatology, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Therapy. He has authored&nbsp; 2740 scientific publications (961 peer reviewed articles, 528 books chapters and 1251 abstracts). Professor Lotti is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom FRCP (Edinburgh) and Fellow of the American Dermatology Association (ADA).</p>

<p><b>Lidia Rudnicka</b> is Professor and Chairman at the Department of Dermatology, Warsaw Medical University in Poland and president of the Polish Dermatological Society. Lidia Rudnicka has gained experience at multiple institutions such asFood and Drug Administration (USA), University of Liège (Belgium) and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia (USA). She has authored or co-authored over 200 articles and book chapters. Her main scientific achievement is significant scientific contribution to the development of trichoscopy. She coined the term “trichoscopy” in 2006. She is the editor of the "Atlas of Trichoscopy". Other fields of interest and scientific achievements include treatment of hair disorders, systemic sclerosis, melanoma psoriasis and lichen planus. Lidia Rudnicka is founder of International Trichoscopy Society and past Chairman of the Posters Exhibit Task Force of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is associate editor of the Journal of European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and section editor of the journal Dermatologic Therapy. Lidia Rudnicka was speaker at multiple dermatology meetings, including World Congresses of Dermatology in New York, Sydney, Paris, Buenos Aires, Seoul and Vancouver. She has served as faculty at multiple meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology. She was invited speaker by many national societies worldwide and received awards, honors and honorary memberships for her contributions to trichoscopy.</p><br></div>
